If you look back at the start to the spot where it all began, it looks as if all the classic video games are still played, alive and kicking!

You must be impressed by that fact. If you compare it to other niches like motor or Television shows, nothing lasted so long, but arcade titles did!

Not only that, these old ones are just getting better and better and the kids today find these episodes most enjoyable and their popularity is rocking.

I think that one of the best move the developers did was when they shifted the played ones from the arcade machines to the PC, and made sure they stay alive. Lucky for us, the gamers!

Imagin that videos like Tetris, PacMan, Snake and Space Invaders were out of the store exist.

Take Tetris games for example. Today you can find tetris games on almost every gaming portal.
Also, the tetris game evolved so much that there are plenty of new versions of that great arcade fun, the majority of them are cool as hell.

The growing popularity of the classic arcade games doesn’t vanish from the games websites, and they all adding classics to their websites.

A great example of such a website is PlayingArcadeGames.com. This site combines both classic like Tetris, Cool Math games and Mario, and new episodes like Zombies, Tower Defense, Naruto and Fish.

Another cool thing that happened is the rising of niche websites in gaming. Now you can enjoy a whole gaming website that revolve only on the specific game or genre.

You can see plenty of examples in almost every genre – Zombies, Word, Crossword puzzles, Fish, Mario, Sonic etc.

I still think back the first time I got the ATARI. It came with several titles like Car racing, old fashion shooter and a few others, and we didn’t care that the GUI was bad, we just enjoyed to play, and we stayed up until our mother called us and said it’s time to go to bed.

I’m just glad that we had a chance to play those consoles when we were children and see how they developed throughout the years.

The classic titles just show us that it doesn’t matter if a game is simple. It does not need to be complex, it’s the smalllittle ones that are the most addicting.
That’s why we all love them so much!
