How can i join different videos to make one video if its filmed by a web cam?

I want to film some stuff that’s happening on my screen with my web cam for a contest on an online game. Can i just film every scene separately and then join it together? If so how do you do that? Also i have a you tube account and i want and need to post the video on it and so it has to meet those requirements. This has to be free to.
Do you have to down load it and is it safe for windows vista?

what you’re asking about is possible. the program is called windows movie maker…i think. it comes included with every windows OS. it’s been so long since i’ve used windows, i’m not sure of the name anymore.
